The real drama of the weekend came when Jessica Cordova (Cordova) lost her ring skipping rocks. Here is the story: Cordova was out in the Merced River perfecting her rock skipping skills. She doesn't really understand the "skipping" part of the game but that's another story for another time. All of a sudden her beautiful prized class ring flew off her finger into the river. Lost forever right?Wrong! Enter our hero Jessica Sitarz and her amazing eagle eyes. In typical goalkeeper fashion Jessica dove right into the deep river (2 feet max) and found the ring. She jumped out of the river and proclaimed "is this it?" In her hand was the class ring. It was a very happy ending.
