Homecoming Rewind!

Last week was Homecoming.  It was a terrific week of fun and festivities.  We will soon be posting pictures from homecoming week as well as some video.  There is a rumor floating out there that there is video of women's soccer players Rachel Mathews and Tiffani Moore performing at halftime of men's basketball game.  Also, if you haven't seen it yet check out the amazing performance by student-athlete Marissa Hager.  Click Here  Her video won CSUS Homecoming '08 VMA Video of the Year!

All American Girl?

On Tuesday Melissa Phillips was named to the Daktronics/CoSIDA Women's Soccer All-West Region first team. She is the third player in Warriors history to be named All-West Region, and only the second to be named first team. Assistant coach Bre Vaughan was named first team in 2005. This means that Mel is now eligible to be named All-American. Check back to the blog on Monday as we unveil a special web page dedicated to Mel's run for All-American!

Hello from Humboldt

It doesn't get much further north than Eureka, California but here we are. After our game against Sonoma State on Friday we continued the trip up north. Our driver Cameron, voted best driver in the world by the Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer team, did a great job of getting us up here in some stormy conditions. After a good night's sleep we had a full day today. Team breakfast, light practice at Humboldt State, a trip to the Pacific ocean, team dinner, and a team meeting featuring giant Post It Notes. If you are wondering what is going on in the picture featuring Marti, Casey (men's assistant coach), Cameron, and Bre, they all decided to dress up on Friday before and after our game. Crazy assistant coaches! Tomorrow is our final game for 2008. Check back on the blog for more from our weekend. GO WARRIORS!
