Tonight's Dinner With The Coaches (DWTC) ended on a very shocking note when during a heated game of Pictionary Boogie attempted to draw landmines by drawing a landfill...This picture was taken at the exact moment assistant coach Sally realized that Boogie thinks they are the same word. Other than this ugly incident which sent everyone into fits of laughter the dinner which included great BBQ burgers made by coach Casey, amazing strawberry shortcake made by Emily, Kim's baked beans, coach Gabe's corn, and Sally's...well nobody knows what Sally did...was amazing!

Best Alumni Game Ever!

Alumni from all over converged on Turlock today to play against the Warriors in an epic battle! The Warriors prevailed 2-1 but not before an impressive comeback effort from the elderly crew. The game got off to a great start when Alena Smajlagic scored in the third minute on an assist from Jade Adamson. Jade would then score in the 25th minute to give the Warriors a 2-0 advantage. In the second half grandmother Jenny Rosenberg (who is believed to be in her early 70s) ripped a shot into the far corner to cut the lead in half. Warrior legend (in her own mind) Bre Vaughan made some key saves in the second half to keep the alumni in the game. A shot by alum Cherie Early with 30 seconds to go sailed over the cross bar and the VICTORY went to the Warriors!

A special thanks to all the alumni that participated today: Sela, Cathy, Bre, Jenny, Petra, Domi, Rachel, Mel, Kasey, Karlee, Cherie, Brie, Danielle, VW, Tiffani, Alex, Gennaka, Adrienne, Michelle, Jenna, Genae, Shippy & coach Marti!

You can check out our Twitter page to see pictures from the game. Here are some of the other highlights from the road trip:
  • Dunne catching a game ball and getting to keep it;
  • Millie bringing a huge bag of Swedish Fish that we somehow managed to smuggle into the stadium;
  • Getting on TV and on the video board about 1 million times;
  • Finding lots of prizes under the bleachers that would roll down from the top like water, cell phones etc...;
  • The great weather;
  • Freels driving ability (we all prayed for everyone in her car);
  • Rust leading the "FC" "Gold" "Pride" cheer;
  • Pounce the mascot;
  • 6,500 great fans!
